Trust Chasm

It seems like my whole career has been one of working in a chasm. There are small gaps between workers and supervisors and larger gaps between the shop floor and the C suite. The common thread is the lack of trust fueled by a lack of humility to listen and define an effective and aligned direction towards a vision.

I think it is also true of our current political divide in America. We are where we are due to the fixed mindset of believing it either has to be the way of the Right or the way of the Left. Where is the growth mindset to listen for understanding and create common ground to fill in the chasm?

So, wouldn't it be great if our next set of political leaders could bring together a diverse team of thought leaders truly representing the full spectrum of “We the People”?

Perhaps this is the means of building a bridge across the broadest divide in my sixty-year lifetime.
